Marina Sardiña is a Spanish-born journalist, documentary photographer and filmmaker based in Bogotá, Colombia.
Her work focuses on women, human rights, social change, identity, migrations and environmental issues. Over the past decade, Sardiña has worked across diverse journalistic formats, contributing to international television, agencies, media outlets and NGOs.
Sardiña worked for France 24 in Spanish from 2019 to 2024. She has also collaborated with Agence France-Presse (AFP), NPR, El País, La Marea, among other international publications and organizations, as both a journalis, photographer and videographer.
She is currently a fellow of the European Journalism Foundation, working alongside other colleagues to investigate the surrogacy market in Colombia and Europe. As a photographer, she is driven by a passion for long-form storytelling, cultivating close, trusting relationships with the people who entrust her with their life stories.
